Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg are to host a TV dinner party together. We’ll let that sink in for just a moment.
Yes, America’s answer to Mary Berry and one of its most notorious rappers are to share hosting duties for VH1’s unscripted series Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the weekly series will see the duo invite a bunch of their celebrity friends over for what’s described as a “half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation and fun where nothing is off limits.”
Surprisingly enough, this will not be the first time the two stars have appeared on the same show. They have already shared a stage for ABC’s $100,000 Pyramid and The Roast of Justin Bieber on Comedy Central – though this will be the first time they have shared hosting duties.
“At our dinner part, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” Steward said, adding that their new show will “redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”
Snoop Dogg said: “My homegirl, Martha, and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and have a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party is set to premiere in the fall.
